About Us
From our roots in 1966 as a community playgroup we have become a well-established Pre-School with charitable status. The Pre-school is run by an elected committee which ensures that major decision making is in the hands of parents who use the group. The committee is responsible for reviewing both policy and practice and for the employment and appraisal of members of staff. We are members of the Pre-School Learning Alliance which has over thirty-eight years of experience in quality care and education of the under fives.

Following four years of hard work from a dedicated team of parents, staff and villagers, we finally moved into our own purpose-built building in the grounds of St Laurence School, Warborough in June 2007. The new building is a superb facility which allows us to offer full day care to Pre-Schoolers and wrap-around care to those children at the Primary School.

Never ones to rest on our laurels, 2008 sees us launch another major fundraising campaign to allow us to equip our outside learning environment to the same high standards as the inside.

Warborough & Shillingford Pre-School offer the following sessions:

Morning session: 9-11.30am
Lunch club: 11.30am-12.30pm
Afternoon session: 12.30pm-3pm

Children are accepted from the age of 2 years old. They can start at any time and are welcome in nappies.
We accept Early Years Voucher Funding for both morning and afternoon sessions. For those not in receipt of funding and at other times, fees are £2.50/hour.
