Welcome back to another new term.  This term the topic is Winter & Christmas, yes it’s the run up to Christmas.

 

Please see the attached planning sheet which breaks down everything we will be doing over the next seven weeks, please keep this sheet handy so you can see on a weekly basis what your child will be doing at Pre-school.

 

Dates and Things to remember

 

  • Please can you ensure that your child brings in a pair of named plimsolls in a named bag, and hang it on their peg.  They can change into these daily (getting them ready for School) and can also be used for PE
  • Bring in an object for colour of the week this will be for the children’s show and tell (see your planning sheet or the Pre-school door for the colour of the week)
  • We will be doing cooking, PE & Music once a week (see your planning sheet as to which day they are) the children will eat what they have made for their snack
  • Children’s Nativity at St Laurence Church 10am Monday 12th December, tea and Mince pies in pre-school afterwards, please tell all your friends and family. The children dress up and sing Christmas songs, a letter will go out nearer the time
  • Children’s Christmas party Thursday 15th December all welcome, a list will go up nearer the time for you to choose which food you would like to bring in. Father Christmas will visit at 11.30am providing he’s not too busy!! Please fill in slip below if you wish your child to attend the party
  • Please can you bring in a packet of biscuits for the whole term and one piece of fruit daily, this replaces the old system of the parent/carer bringing in snack on their rota day
  • There is no lunch-club this term

 

If you ever need to discuss your child’s progress or have any concerns then please do not hesitate to speak to myself or a member of staff, a convenient date and time can be arranged if required.
